The top side in the league for the u21’s Pukke came out blasting against Alberton. Playing good structured rugby created plenty opportunities out wide to score several tries. Pukke won the game 66-0.

Looking like the winners at the end of the first half when Alberton kept the scoreboard rolling when the score was 17-5 in favor of Alberton. Scoring another try in the second half that gave the bonus point to Alberton was a certainty win for them. Then it showed again play till the whistle blow at the end of the game. Alberton relaxed and did not use opportunities coming their way. Final score 29-22 to Raiders.

Under the supervision of the one of the best and strongest front rows in the early 90’s when he played for the Transvaal. Coach Chris Sutton took his pack of forwards and showed them the finer details and techniques of scrumming.

HARD WORK LYING AHEAD
A very skillful and potential u/21 side did not play to their potential. Penalized 30 times in the game showed the lack of concentration due to fitness and 1st game of the season. Hard work will go into training this week for the next game next Saturday. Boksburg won the game 32-0.

Supporters were up and down in their seats from the beginning to the end. Alberton came to play rugby on the day. Both sides treated the spectators with good open rugby. The Wits side eventually did not know where to defend anymore. Alberton was attacking from all over the park. All players from Alberton deserve the man of the match nomination. Well done to this young side.
