ALBERTON RUGBY CLUB FACILITIES
We can be proud of our Rugby Stadium at the club. We are fortunate to compare with other facilities all over South Africa when it comes to hosting big events like rugby matches , road running races and Big events like music concerts. In the past we hosted Vodacom Rugby games of the Lions. We also hosting school rugby competitions and school trials. We also have a junior rugby club who is hosting junior rugby league competitions. We are currently upgrading our facilities in all departments.
Our facilities consist of the following.
3 Rugby Fields.
8 Change rooms.
Showers for both sides.
Referee change room.
Medic room.
Boardroom.
Players lounge.
Pavilion who can seat about 3000 spectators.
Around the stadium another 2000 seating ( which includes the Lapa ).
NEW SCOREBOARD IN TIME FOR THE DIGGERS DERBY
On Saturday we hosting Diggers Rugby Club in the Louis Odendaal Derby match. Our new scoreboard was erected 20-03-23. A big thank you is going out to Ettienne from Dymo who erected the board. On Saturday the new board will be put the test.
MORE UPGRADES DONE TO FACILITIES
the upgrading of the stadium is in the final stages. our fields are in immaculate condition. The light poles were painted with the Alberton colour’s. The rugby poles were also painted in the Alberton colour’s. Our changerooms locks was upgraded. Our 1st side changeroom was upgraded to professional status which is on par with all Universities. The opponents 1st side changeroom will also be done in the next week or two.
